Varna University of Management (VUM) was founded in 1996 and was the first private university in Bulgaria to offer programmes in English and joint dimplomas. For what is more, VUM was the first insitution in the country that started proactively using innovative teaching methods such as Interactive Learning, CBL (case-based learning) and PBL (problem-based learning). Ever since its establishment, the university has been providing world-class education in the fields of Tourism, Hospitality, Gastronomy, Business, Management, Marketing and Information Technologies.
All study programmes are fully accredited both by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and by the British Accreditation Council. Collaborating with hundrends of other universities around the world, VUM provides opportunities for joint degrees and international exchanges. Moreover, the partnership between VUM and Cardiff Metropolitan Univeristy (UK) allows students to obtain a diploma from Cardiff University without spending a year there.

The main campus of VUM is located in Varna. Nonetheless, there are two more campuses – in Dobrich and in Sofia. Being the sea capital of Bulgaria, Varna is a charming city full of beautiful alleys, serene beaches and exciting beach restaurants and bars.
