Trakia University was established in 1995 and is one of the first institutions for higher education to be awarded with full accreditation as “very good” by NEAA. The university is situated in Stara Zagora and is divided into 6 faculties – Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Technics and Technology. Moreover, Trakia University has a Medical College, a Department for Information and In-Service Teachers Training and a campus in another Bulgarian city – Haskovo.
